Dr. Ravindra Nanda is the pioneer of Craniofacial Orthopedics. While he was studying, various organizations of Orthodontics and public health care sponsored him with Research Grant Support for the scientific research, which he was going to conduct in context to his field. He acted as the principal investigator in the research; much of his research is mentioned here.
Connecticut Research Foundation
The Connecticut Research Foundation is an Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation and its main agenda is to foster the advance scientific and educational research in the field of Orthodontics. In addition, it also promotes the clinical practice of orthodontics and the associated branches of dentistry and basic sciences.
This foundation provided Dr. Nanda with Research Grant Support, and there he was the Principal Investigator and conducted research on topics like The Study of Normal Vascular Pattern of Periodontium of Monkeys, Normal Palatal Closure, and Cellular Kinetics, Effect of Extraoral Forces on Craniofacial Growth, etc.
National Institutes of Health
National Institutes of Health is the chief organizer of the US government. It provides funding for biomedical research to non-NIH research amenities with its Extramural Research Program. It is responsible for public health and biomedical research. Dr. Nanda was also provided with the Research Grant for his research on Anterior Displacement of Maxilla by Controlled Forces, Symposium on Orthodontics and Bioengineering, Craniofacial Adaptations after Maxillary Osteotomy and more.
NIH/Individual Fellowship
NIH/Individual Fellowship offers institutional research training opportunities to the trainees that are undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral stage. Dr. Ravindra Nanda was pursuing his Ph.D. at the time he started his research on Orthodontic Extensive Stresses of the Periodontium in which he was the Principal Investigator.
Northeastern Society of Orthodontists
The Northeastern Society of Orthodontists (NESO) is a non-profit corporation that is acknowledged as a constituent of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). Its mission is to encourage researchers while offering sponsorships to maintain the high standards of excellence in Orthodontics. Dr. Nanda was granted with sponsorship to conduct his research on various topics, such as The Stability of Incisor Intrusion, Stability, and Prediction of Soft Tissue Changes, Severity of Facial Deformity and Parents Adaptation to Primary Cleft Lip Repair.
