Dr. Ravindra Nanda, BDS, MDS, Ph.D., is a gatherer of data. Whether pointing to his orchids or his selection of stamps from India and the United States dated between the 1850s and the 1860s, Professor Ravindra Nanda catches a calculated way to learning from the people and things around him. Ravindra Nanda has an unyielding spirit of curiosity that has provided for a successful career as a professor, coach, and orthodontist.
For more than 40 years, Dr Ravindra Nanda has been teaching, exercising, speaking in, and writing about the area of orthodontics. As the current Head of the Department of Craniofacial Sciences and Chair of the Division of Orthodontics at the University of Connecticut (UConn), Professor Ravindra Nanda examines himself a consummate learner and educator.
“As an instructor, you have to be current and futuristic,” Ravindra Nanda explains. “You have to give the best desirable information, whether you’re giving it to your residence or to 1,000 people attending an orthodontic conference.”
Professor Ravindra Nanda has consumed 4 decades gathering information to pass along to students and fellow orthodontists.
