Dr. Ravindra Nanda is the professor and Head of Craniofacial Department and Chair of the Division of Orthodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.

Professor Ravindra Nanda is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Ravindra Nanda has given numerous named lectures at national and international societies including Mershon Lecture at American Association of Orthodontics and Sheldon Friel Lecture at 2011 EOS Congress.

Ravindra Nanda has been recognized with various awards from numerous international orthodontic organizations. Dr. Ravindra Nanda is a co-editor of a book Retention and Stability. His most recent books are Biomechanics in Clinical Orthodontics, Biomechanic and Esthetic Strategies In Clinical Orthodontics, Temporary Anchorage Devices in Orthodontics and Current Therapy in Orthodontics. His new book is titled “Esthetics and Biomechanics in Orthodontics.

Ravindra Nanda is a  Professor in School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ravindra Nanda finished his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in dentistry and orthodontics from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow University.

Professor Ravindra Nanda has been author and co-author of five orthodontic books and more than two hundred scientific and clinical articles in major journals. He is Editor-in-Chief of Progress in Orthodontics. He is on the editorial board of ten different national and international orthodontic journals. Ravindra Nanda is also an associate editor of Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.

After gaining a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Masters of Dental Surgery in Orthodontics from King George’s Medical College, Dr. Ravindra Nanda joined at the University of Nymegen School of Dentistry in Nymegen, the Netherlands. 4 years later, Professor Ravindra Nanda became a Doctor of Philosophy, as well as a Fellow in Orthodontics at the University of Nymegen.

Dr. Ravindra Nanda is a member of the establishing faculty of School of Dental Medicine. For more than 40 years, Ravindra Nanda has been teaching, practicing, lecturing in, and writing about the field of orthodontics. 

After earning a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Masters of Dental Surgery in Orthodontics from King George’s Medical College, Dr. Ravindra Nanda enrolled at the University of Nymegen School of Dentistry in Nymegen, the Netherlands.
